Nepal Nite – A journey to the Himalayas is presented to you by the Nepalese Student Association at Virginia Tech. This event will celebrate Virginia Tech’s cultural diversity and student body’s exhilarating array of artistic talents. It will showcase vibrant colors of Nepali culture through musical performances, instrumentals, live band, and a fashion show to display the latest trends of Nepal. The show is a FREE event and will be full of unique, expressive, and energetic performances from the heart of Nepal.
We hope you join us on this memorable journey to the Himalayas!

“Where words fail, music speaks”

It was yet again an exciting evening of traditional Nepalese music. KUTUMBA, a folk instrumental ensemble and group of six professionals(Siddhartha, Kiran, Rubin, Pavit, Raju, Arun) from Kathmandu, who had the world tour of music gave visit to Blacksburg, Virginia at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Gladewood on Friday , October 14. Their music was so captivating that all the attendants gave standing ovation for their soothing music. The combination of music from Tungna, Sarangi, Madal, Khin, Flute, ghunguru, murchunga, bhushya and sishya had the healing capicity. All the nepali community at Blacksburg thoroughly enjoyed their melody. After the concert, KUTUMBA also had dinner together at GYANWALI NIWAS and shared their experience with the NSA family.

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to Tech for the Fall Semester! To start off this wonderful semester/year, NSA will be hosting a Welcome Picnic for all the new and old members! There will be tons of food and lots of activities for you to get involved in, so please please try to make it, and plus, who wouldn’t want to spend a beautiful Saturday at Claytor Lake? (you might even be able to go boating :) If you dont have a car, don’t worry we will provide you with transportation. If you do have a car and are willing to car pool, that will be a tremendous help!

We are planning to meet at the Squires parking lot on SATURDAY, SEPT. 10TH @ 10 A.M.
